One day is left till the restriction of truck traffic

On April, 15th movement of trucks in Kazan will be restricted. It is a traditional spring ban, introduced to save the road surface which is exposed to strong destruction during this period. Restriction does not extend on public transport, emergency services and vehicles of the Ministry of Emergency Measures, garbage trucks and post trucks. Nevertheless heavy trucks still can travel on city roads. However, it is necessary to obtain a special permission for this purpose, having paid a so-called «damage compensation». The money received from this "duty", will go to the budget of Kazan to be used for financing of works on repair and maintenance of highways and bridges.
