In Saint Petersburg there was prohibited the commercial vehicle traffic in the daytime.

Saint Petersburg administration has taken into account Moscow experience, where there is a running prohibition against the heavy-duty vehicles traffic within the Third traffic ring without special entry passes. In this connection there will be the limited traffic of trucks within the city in the daytime, and there are being worked up special bypass routes for the nighttime. The city governor Valentina Matvienko thinks, that such a process will significantly simplify the driving situations. She informed that the city authorities, together with GIBDD (State road traffic safety inspection) will roughly suppress the breach of this law and even plans to purchase 3 cargo evacuators. According to municipal transport committee representatives, the legislation proposal will be considered and passed at the earliest legislative assembly of Saint Petersburg.
